THE ASK
Insights from experience and practical application to consolidate functions across the business

  • SSE were embarking on a major (and complex) e-business Oracle ERP programme to bring HR, Procurement, Payroll and Finance into a single application landscape.

  • This change represented the biggest challenge that the in-house team had undertaken, largely due to their need to integrate a complex IT vendor supply chain.

OUR RESPONSE

  • Pelicam provided specific project management and technical expertise.

  • The programme was reviewed for compliance at key stages over an 18 month delivery time-scale, interventions were identified, prioritised and reported to the executive board.

  • Pelicam reviewed over 50 documents/artefacts and formed part of a team that interviewed 30 key stakeholders.

  • By bringing in an external perspective, SSE were able to learn from similar ERP implementations across wider industry.
